Problem/Solution Arguement

Assignment: To explore both sides of an issue sufficiently enough to take a competent stand on that issue and persuade your audience to, accept and/or lean toward that position by proposing a compromise or solution to the problem that keeps the opposing views from agreeing.

In this essay you will be explaining why you have chosen to take a particular position on an issue. When writing a piece such as this, it is important to explain thoroughly both sides of the issue. You should also understand and take in to account the audience for which you will be writing. This will allow you to more usefully instruct your readers as to the reasoning behind your decision and create and atmosphere whereby your audience will more likely accept your position, a solution to the problem of disagreement.

Okay....so I understand the concept of this paper, but I dont know what in the heck I am going to write. I've been trying to come up with topics all week. Anyone out there have any ideas???

Taking care of your car...

Why dont people take care of their cars? I must admit, I have been very, very guilty of this in the past. I thought that it was not a big deal and that it would not cause any damage, but I was wrong. I guess that most feel this way or they dont have the time or the money. I can understand the money issue but time can be worked out. I have a lot of work that needs to be done on my car, though it is doing pretty good, and we just dont have the money, but all the basic work is indeed done. I guess that is the important thing at the moment.
