"Ask, Seek, and Knock"

Luke 11:9-10 (KJV) - And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knotheth it shall be opened.

How many times have we heard these verses and say, "Sure okay, I will ask, seek, and knock." But...do we really take these verses to heart and truly ask, seek, and knock? If you are in need ask and it will be given. Asking is not a one time "Hey God, I need this thing," and it ends there. You must ask. Asking is fervent and not wavering. The same is true for seeking and finding. If you need a word from God you cannot simply say Yo God help me. You need to be specific and you need to continue to seek. Sometimes he uses our seeking and asking and knocking to grow our faith. It is easy to see the outcome when the door is wide open but have you ever looked for the open window that will get you out of a stressful situation. Have you ever been hungry and you asked God for money but instead he gave you food. God answers all our prayers and he is totally interested in our daily lives. Ask, seek, and knock. Strive to know Him more. Strive to understand how simple Asking, seeking and knocking truly is. Have that childlike faith.

Go in Peace,
