Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. -Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV)

Day to day grind seems to get the best of us sometimes. We get so lost in the commute to work, feeding the kids, and getting dinner on the table that we forget that God is in the middle of everything we do. Do you ever get frustrated that you are caught in traffic and your commute home went from 10 minutes to two hours? I know I have been there. Do you get so frustrated with your kids that you sometimes wish that you were not a mom??? I have been there. Do your husbands sometimes drive you to the point of contemplating divorce? I know that feeling. In the middle of these moments do you ever stop to wonder what the bigger picture may be? I know I have a hard time doing so. What if the two hour ride home was God protecting you from the accident and giving you an opportunity to spend some time with Him, uninterrupted. What if the frustrating kids and husband are simply a character building moment (true, they are still not always fun). It is time we start looking at the bigger picture. The thoughts that God thinks about us are good thoughts. They are thoughts that give us hope and peace and a future. He does not ever think evil thoughts toward us, we already have an enemy for that. God is there, in our corner giving us an expected end. What is that end? Eternity with Him in Paradise. How great is that???
