Power To The penguins

OK, I went and did it. I am now typing to you from my new Linux install and I freaking love it. I did check and WinXP is working like it should so nothing messed up this time. I am not sure yet but I am thinking about making myself use Linux for lets say a week without using WinXP at all and just see how I get along. So far I can do everything I need to do all with open source software and it is working fine and faster than Windows. It is almost midnight and I am hoping that the Abby will stay asleep for the night and not wake up at 3 in the morning. :) I love that little baby but I still do not know what to do with her and I still feel so detached from her. I did try and give MySpace another try but it is just not for me. I prefer FaceBook and I really like blogging here, it is just clean and simple, no frills.

Starting Over Again

Well to make a long story short, my WinXP install got messed up somehow after I had installed Linux. I had not been using WinXP for a while so I did not even know it. I had to slick the entire hard drive and start over with a fresh install of WinXP, yippie. Why can't Windows just freakin' work? Ubuntu "just works" so why can't Windows? I still want to install Linux back on the computer but an afraid to because Windows might mess up again because it does not seem to want to play nice with Linux. What to do, what to do. I found out that my WinXP install was not working when I tried to use DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink. I have not yet figured out how to do the exact same thing in Linux yet.
